Together with her colleague MEP Miriam Dalli and in collaboration with Mental Health Europe, Julie celebrated the World Mental Health Day (10 October) in the European Parliament together with European Commissioner for Health Vytenis Andriukaitis.

The event gathered experts from Google, Facebook and representatives from civil society, including Youth Mental Health Ambassador Nikki Mattocks to join forces to prevent, protect and improve youth mental health online.

Closing the debate from a policy-maker perspective, Julie recognised the importance of education and digital literacy for children and young people as an important factor that can determine mental wellbeing in the digital age.
