European Parliament adopts EU-Iran Strategy, Julie speaks out for human rights

The European Parliament has today adopted a strategy for EU-Iran relations following the Iran nuclear deal, setting out how to continue implementation of the agreeent and dialogue-building. Julie worked to strengthen human rights language in the report, in order to give the EU External Action Service a mandate to work with the Iranian government to stop gross ongoing violations, and bring about concrete improvements.   Continue reading
