With an on-going crackdown on Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia, and in response to numerous queries from constitutents in the North West, Julie has tabled a Parliamentary Question to the European Commission about the situation in Russia.

Human rights defenders in Sudan have been imprisoned by government authorities, with some reported to be subject to torture and ill-treatment. Prominent defender Dr. Mudawi Ibrahim Adam has been detained since December last year.
